This listing is for an authentic late 1920s-1930s Butler’s “Star” headlamp, a genuine pre-war lighting unit used on many early British motorcycles and automobiles. Butler’s lamps from this era are highly collectible due to their distinctive styling, quality construction, and historical association with iconic UK manufacturers. This particular example features the original Butler’s-marked glass lens as well as the classic Butler’s Star badge on the rear of the housing-an unmistakable identifier sought after by restorers and collectors. During the late 1920s through the 1930s, Butler’s (Birmingham, UK) supplied lighting equipment for many British motorcycle and automotive brands, including. Early British cars and light industrial vehicles. Pre-war Butler’s lamps with intact badges and original lenses are increasingly scarce, especially in untouched condition. Genuine Butler’s manufacture. Original Butler’s Star badge (metal emblem). Original embossed Butler’s glass lens. Classic pre-war riveted rear housing. Original black painted metal body with authentic patina. Period mounting stud and early wiring still attached. Ideal for restoration, display, or collection. Vintage used accessory unique DO-RAY 510 light with switch on top and a small red light on the bottom inside. The housing is solid no rot just surface rust. The bezel has a couple small dings. The glass lens is in good condition not cracked or chipped. The inside of the housing has surface rust and the switch is probably no good. The light reflector is discolored on the bottom.
