HAND PAINTED WITH ARMORIAL SHIELD / COAT OF ARMS & LIONS, FLOWERS, MORIAGE. Stunning hand-painted vintage lamp pair, porcelain and solid brass base. High end antique art lamp. This is an antique matched pair of Edme Samson et Cie European coat-of-arms lamps from their Amorial line. They have similar hand painted artwork and different Coats of Arms on each. I find no chips, cracks, or repairs… It still has its original wiring! Worthy of display in the finest antique home. I believe the vases to be earlier than 1900, with conversion to electric lamps in the very early 1900’s. The ceramic vase portions are 12 inches high. On top of the ceramic portion, the brass posts, sockets, and finial adjustment post add another foot, depending on adjustment. There is an adjustable post on top which your finial will go on…. This allows for different lengths of lamp shades. Masterful construction and quality. A great find for the serious collector of antique lamps, vases, and art. There is one tiny nick at the top base which has been color match stained. If I did not mention this, you would perhaps not even notice it. Please see photo # for the mentioned nick. This item has no other nicks or chips or cracks. The glaze is NOT crazed. This piece has NO condition issues. The glaze is on the bottom area as well where the maker information is stamped. For sale is a vintage pair of Cibie Iode Fog Lamps. This is the Model 175 with clear glass and white covers. However, one lamp has a black casing and the other has a gray casing, but both have the 175 imprint. These do not have the casing screws and some of the wiring is missing; the black lamp has one interior wire, but the gray lamp has no wiring. They both have the interior bulb, but I have no way of testing them for working condition. The glass is clean with no cracks or significant scratching. The plastic casing has a few light spots, which may be easily cleaned. The covers have no cracks and they fit snugly though they have a bit of dust. I want both us to come out winners here.
