P&A’LITTLE ROYAL’ DOUBLE HANDLE FANCY NICKEL-OVER-BRASS KEROSENE OIL CENTER DRAFT TABLE LAMP. 1880’s fancy nickel-over-brass Plume & Atwood tiny size center draft kerosene oil table lamp. Period fancy nickel-over-brass double handled embossed lamp, complete and correct. Fancy cast white metal nickel plated arched handles. Fancy embossed font, original burner, flame spreader, filler cap, wick riser and wick chase are in working condition. Correct 6″ original spider shade holder, 7″ tall to the top of the burner. Never drilled or electrified, correct period kerosene oil condition. Rare tiny size, rare Cleveland filler cap. Pristine condition with no cracks breaks or repairs. Outstanding example period’Little Royal’ to add to your collection. We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. Gosh, they’ve been up there forever. I think it was on whatever car my Grandfather had before the’29 Cadillac… ? Anyway, what is supremely interesting, that I have not seen in ANY other auctions for similar 1920’s lamps, is this is complete with the controller. As you can see, this controller is steering column mounted, and allows control for left, right, and stop. When in the “neutral” position, it reverts to the “Safety First” position. 1920’s joystick kind-of control. And you thought that was modern technology.. This is a large lamp,’bout 7.5 in diameter. It would make a statement, for sure, on the back of your car. I’m sitting here thinking about the price, as the controller is really the key to the value, note the original metal conduit for all components too.. THE SILVER FACED LAMP IS GONE. ONLY ONE LAMP LEFT, ALONG WITH THE CONTROLLER, WHICH I WILL NOT SELL SEPARATELY.
