Beautiful vintage Holophane-style prismatic ribbed glass lamp shade, featuring a classic clear pressed-glass design with fine radial fluting and an approximately 8-inch diameter. The shade is formed from substantial clear glass with numerous closely spaced ribs radiating from the central fitter toward the outer edge. This attractive optical pattern gives the shade the characteristic appearance associated with early industrial, commercial and architectural prismatic lighting. The shallow dome / reflector form makes this an excellent period-style replacement shade for a compatible vintage pendant light, ceiling fixture, industrial lamp, workshop light, architectural light or restoration project. The central fitter rim/opening measures approximately 1.7 inches, an important measurement when matching the shade to an existing light fixture. The design has a wonderful industrial, Art Deco and early machine-age aesthetic, making it equally suitable for functional restoration or decorative display in a loft, café, restaurant, workshop or period interior. “Holophane Style” describes the prismatic optical-glass design and is not an attribution to Holophane. Love the ornate detail on the metal holders and so pretty when lit. Made from salvaged vintage lamp parts with brand new wiring. Green textured glass glass globe. Fabulous light/shadow pattern when lit. Ornate metal top and bottom. Plug in with new in-line on/off switch. Completely new electrical (socket, switch and cord). 10.5 from top loop where chain attaches to the bottom tip. Globe is 6.75 across at widest. Swag cord measures approx 15.
