I have now re-designed, and turned it into army tank construction, so now the post office will need a bigger fork lift to break it next time around. Just above the solid Oak base of this lamp is an in-house water well pump, mounted at the kitchen sink back in the day. Up from one side of the pump is a brand new stainless steel gauge. Solid steel plumbing now routes up to the brass tubing that holds two Edison bulbs. Each bulb socket has it’s own on/off switch, and each bulb is somewhat adjustable inward and outward (see last two photos above). The top brass tube sinks well down into the lower steel tube, plus it has been epoxied-in using J. Weld (used to repair car engine blocks). I removed the top brass lamp fixture with double bulbs (see last photo above), added a single “explosion proof”. Lamp fixture with Edison bulb, then removed smaller 2 1/2″ gauge and added larger 3 3/4″ gauge. Lamp is now like the first photo above.
