Well where to start. Perhaps at the beginning….. This is a Vintage Motion Oil/Rain Lamp approx. Lamp is from an estate sale. When we got it home, we discovered after tipping it, that the old oil inside had turned black after many years and was fairly abundant. The light bulb had broken off inside the socket and some still remains in the socket. I have cleaned out the old oil so there should be no more that is present other than the stuck on residue that remains in areas that will need cleaned up. It will need new line re-strung. Some black residue still remains on the old line. It will probably need a new motor/pump but unsure. The socket will need cleaned out or maybe replaced but I cannot figure out how to remove the top. I have cleaned up all the greenery and it is in great shape. The goddess herself is in good shape. If this lamp sits for a while, I might part out the goddess and greenery in a separate listing. I have never seen a vintage motion lamp with this type of design or color and when the lamp is cleaned up, it really looks striking.
