THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PAIR OF PIERCE ARROW PILLAR LAMPS (COACH LIGHTS/LANTERNS). Some research I did on line indicates that these were used on the “George Washington Model” of Pierce Arrow coaches. The post mount indicating this vintage as well as the makers mark. There is a makers mark in the base. They are indeed English and Mersick. It says THE ENGLISH & MERSICK CO. In the middle of the wording there is also the number six indicated as -6. These are in good used condition (as found) and have excellent potential for restoration. The main flaws include the following: the decorative brass pieces that were at the very bottom of the housing are no longer there and there is some repair needed to that area. There are a couple of small chips or cracks in the very top corner of a couple of the glass lenses but this is very minor. One notable small dent in the top brass cap on one light as shown in pictures. The mounting brackets are not present but the housing blocks that they attach to are in tact and in good condition. Overall, a very hard to find original pair with excellent potential. The free listing tool.
