Offering another nice miniature oil lamp from my personal collection. Check in often to see any new listings. Very nice antique spherical cobalt jewlers lamp. 14th 1880 And March 14th 1893 Excellent condition. This lamp was designed for use in jewlery making and not for lightinga room. Pre soldering iron or propane torch for anythingthat neededto be melted or worked into shapeby heating. They came in a few sizes and several colors. The base of the lamp is rounded so that it can be easily positioned and held in place by the stand. This lamp has all brass parts which is a little unusual. Most were nickel plated steel and did rust over time. See and enlarge the pictures for more size and condition information. All the metal parts are solid brass and have been polished. The wick is large to aid in absorbing the fuel and because alcohol was usually the fuel used. There are no chips cracks or repairs to any of the parts. The lamp is 7 1/4 tall from the bottom of the stand to the top of the burner. The brass base is 1 3/4″ tall just over 2″ wide at the top and 2 3/4 across the base. The lamp font is about 3 1/4 wide and high. The burner and cap are 2″ from the collar to the cap and approximately 1″ at the widest point. The wick is in very good condition.
