This matched set of five antique pressed glass gasolier or early electric light shades dates from the late Victorian to early 20th century period. The elegant bowl-form shades feature a delicate floral scroll motif with serrated/prism-cut rims that catch the light beautifully. Traces of original gilt decoration remain around the rims and collars, adding to their authentic period character. These were likely used on a gasolier, pan fixture, or converted gas/electric chandelier and would be ideal for restoration of antique lighting. The glass has a refined translucent appearance with molded Art Nouveau-style botanical decoration and a richly textured edge. Much harder to find in a complete matching set of five. 6 3/8 inches diameter at widest point. 5 1/4 inches interior diameter. 1 3/4 inches across outside edge of fitter collar. Each weighs a little over 1 pound. Condition: Very good antique condition overall with no cracks or observable chips. Signs of authentic age and use throughout, including surface wear and remnants of worn gilding. Minor manufacturing irregularities and light age wear consistent with antique pressed glass lighting components. Interior design and film set décor.
