The wick raises up and down with difficulty and the mechanism can be a little crunchy. It would probably slide better if it had some Kero. Other than that I don’t know a ton about it. I got into coleman lanterns and every now and then I’d get one of these in. Needless to say the lanterns are more fun so this thing hasn’t been messed with besides being put in a cabinet.
